Please note: In this calendar, we will place an * asterisk to denote a change of venue or date.

The Over 60s Singles and Pairs
This event has moved to April 2020 (originally December). This is to give Regions and Divisions more time to run their qualifiers.

The Men’s and Women’s Region Sides
This event has been combined and will run across one weekend as opposed to two. This event will be held in Shepparton (Shepparton Golf, East Shepparton and Shepparton Park) from April 3-5, 2020.

Novice Singles (closing date)
You may have seen the Novice Singles had a closing date of February 7. This has moved to February 10 so you can use the weekend to complete any last-minute matches.

What can I do during the Victorian Open and what does a protected event mean?

The Victorian Open is a protected event. This means that the following cannot be scheduled between November 15 -22.

  • Pennant Matches
  • State Event Qualifiers
  • Club Championships
  • Region/Division Events

This does not mean that clubs close their facility for eight days. Club Tournaments, Social Events and Participation Initiatives should be encouraged, and can all be played or scheduled during this period.

The Victorian Open is Bowls Victoria’s premier event that all club members can participate in. It’s a great week celebrating bowls in Victoria, where bowlers can connect with other bowlers and promote clubs, regions and divisions.
